How much does a micro earpiece cost? Kit prices and what you pay for
The price of a micro earpiece depends on what you buy: the earpiece alone, the loop alone or a complete kit. We explain what each costs and what you are actually paying for.

There is no single answer to "how much does a micro earpiece cost", because three different things are sold under that name: the earpiece alone, the induction loop alone and a complete kit. When comparing prices, always check exactly what is in the box.

What raises the price of a micro earpiece
Type of earpiece
A magnetic earpiece is a capsule with a magnet and no electronics, so it is cheap. An induction earpiece contains a coil, an amplifier and a transducer, and the nano version is the same electronics in an even smaller housing. Every reduction in size makes production more expensive.
Induction loop
The loop is usually the biggest cost in a kit. A Bluetooth loop has a radio module, a rechargeable battery and an amplifier, and better versions also a microphone. A jack loop is simpler, so cheaper. We describe the differences in Bluetooth or jack.
Warranty and support
A seller who gives a two-year warranty and answers the phone after the sale has to include that in the price. With equipment that has to work on a specific day, this "invisible" part of the price is often worth the most.
Accessories
A set of batteries, spare filters, a case, a magnetic stick, a video manual. Individually they are small things, but you only notice their absence on the day you need them.
Why it does not pay to save on the kit
- The kit has to work first time. A well-matched loop and earpiece mean clean sound without buzzing or dropouts.
- You use it for a long time. Good earpiece materials and fresh batteries in the kit mean comfort and reliability.
- You have someone to ask. A seller with a warranty will help by phone, even the day before an important event.
How to choose a kit sensibly
- Buy the missing part. If you have a loop, the earpiece alone is enough, and vice versa. Induction earpieces work with any induction loop.
- Choose a jack loop instead of Bluetooth if your phone has a headphone socket or you have an adapter.
- Compare complete packages, not just prices. A kit that includes batteries, instructions and a warranty works out cheaper in practice than a seemingly cheaper one where you have to buy everything extra.
- Work out renting honestly. A deposit, two deliveries and the risk of deductions mean renting is often not much cheaper than buying. More in rent or buy.
Running costs
After the purchase there are only small costs:
- SR416SW batteries, inexpensive per piece (which batteries to buy),
- wax guards, if your model has them (how to clean the earpiece),
- possibly a USB-C to jack adapter for a wired loop.
